Next Date of Hearing - February 15, 2010

Today Sajjan Kumar’s case, as well as the connected revisions filed by victims were listed for directions in Delhi High Court before the Division Bench of Pradeep Nandrajog and Suresh Kanth. It was adjourned on the request of the advocate for the accused persons as he told the court that he was yet to receive the paper book from the Registry which was opposed by our attorneys. The matter was adjourned to February 15, 2010 for hearing.

Senior Advocate KK Sood, Senior Advocate HS Phoolka and advocate Kamna Vohra appeared for the victims along with Additional Solicitor General Amarjit Singh Chandiok for CBI. Once the hearing starts, the hearing will be held on day to day basis.

Public Interest Litigation seeking appointment of a monitoring committee for all pending trial cases was listed before Chief Justice Delhi High Court. The court declined to appoint the same but agreed to appoint Special Public Prosecutor to conduct the pending trials and also agreed to expedite the trials. The matter has been adjourned for February 3, 2010. Notice has been issued to CBI and also State for the next date of hearing.
